Introduction to Landscape Oil Painting, Group Series, In-Person, 2/6-3/5
When: Tuesdays, 10:30-12:30 pm, February 6th - March 5th (no class 2/20), 4 classes

What to Expect: In this Introduction to Landscape Oil Painting class, learn the basic principles of composition and value and how both are dependent on one another to achieve an effective landscape painting. Different landscape images will be used as inspiration for finding your own unique style of painting. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experiment with a number of different techniques, including
Impasto
Scraping
Stippling
Glazing
Gestural painting
Mindfulness techniques will be used to overcome natural inhibitions and perfectionism in order to paint expressively.
No experience is required, just an openness to making new creative discoveries.
An oil painting supply list (solvent-free) will be provided when the class is determined to run. Students are welcome to use acrylic if preferred.
*Any classes that are not able to run due to inclement weather will be held online.
