Learn to Paint - Gift Cards

from $25.00

Give the gift of art with the purchase of a gift card.

Group classes, workshops, private lessons, and mentoring are for all stages of the creative process. Beginners and advanced students are encouraged and welcomed.

Painting mediums can include but are not limited to oil, watercolor, pastel, and drawing. A gift card provides a student the opportunity to choose a class of their liking.

Sessions may include but are not limited to:

  1. A demonstration from me, fine artist, Chris Reed

  2. Honing to specific needs and levels of painting

  3. How-to’s for handling brushes and materials

  4. Brushstroke tutorials on canvas or different drawing techniques

My objective as a teacher is to cater to the student’s needs. When I begin with a student, I like to spend this time learning about how the student approaches their art.

We may practice mindfulness techniques to focus the breath to reach the ideal state of mind while creating art. By the time the student leaves, the student will be enlightened about the love of creating art

Q & A

1.Does the student need to have any prior experience?

No, the student does not need prior experience. I welcome students of any background.

2. How effective is Zoom for instruction?

I use a second device (iPad) for demonstration closeups so the student sees exactly what I’m sharing. Lighting and angles are adjusted as needed. To make up for slight color differences with the camera, I describe the exact mixtures of color pertaining to values as well.

3. Can a Zoom session be recorded?

Any session may be recorded for later use. If the session is a group class (not private), please have the student contact me in advance to discuss.

4. Can a student cancel a class?

Yes, though I ask for 24 hours in advance notice.

5. Can a promo code apply to the purchase of a gift card?

Yes. If you have signed up for my newsletter and received the 10% off, a gift card is eligible for that discount. You can sign up for the newsletter here.
